Jeff Dee! Too Cool!

The Mind Flayer from Expedition to the Barrier Peaks
Remember when I was talking about Jeff Dee and Villians & Vigilantes? Well, it turns out he has a site on Deviant Art. The image I’ve posted here is one of my all-time favorites. It is from the old AD&D module, Expedition to the Barrier Peaks, which combined the premises from Metamorphosis Alpha and D&D. We made it even more fun by using the old Enterprise blueprints (1975) from the Star Trek franchise, which gave us a huge set of maps that were very familiar to everyone. We changed the scenario into a battle for the Enterprise with a group of Mind Flayers who were serving as the current crew. The image below links to a scan of those, so have fun!

Do you rmember Gamma World? I once ran a cross over D&D Gamma World campaign, which used the metamorphasis alpha ship as a contuit between the two worlds. Interesting concept that my skills as a game master failed to bring off. I look forward to seeing what you do here!
