AD&D Experience Part 7: Still Trying to Get into the Lost City

Ah yes, now I remember this adventure. One of the hardest parts is getting into the dungeon! The party tried first one cave then another, each time giving up due to overwhelming odds. They attacked the main gate, defeated it, and then decided to rest there. The second defensive watch found them there and drove them off. Finally, they found another way in, but then half the party got poisoned and (according to the Monster Manual) would die in 2-5 days unless “remove poison” was cast. The fighter/thief wore the girdle of giant strength and Taryn kept casting “Slow poison” so they could make it back to the village shaman in time. And that was the end of several hours of play. Hopefully they’ll do better next time! There was a bright moment — Kalnarr greatly enjoyed his new ability to throw fireballs. That always brings a grin to the party!
