Robin Parry

Does anyone else remember the illustrations that Robin Parry used to do for the Adventurer magazine back in the 1980s? Beautiful stuff. Here’s an example, a poster of his cover for Adventurer #1.

Robin wrote the cartoon “Once Bitten” for the magazine, and developed the Scatophagium city campaign. I tried tracking him down, but it seems impossible. I did notice that both he (?) and Carl Sargent (at White Dwarf) published reviews of The Wilderness Survival Guide within a month of each other, and suspect that “Robin Parry” might have been a pseudonym for Carl. Carl did a lot of good work for the Greyhawk campaign in the 1990s before dropping out of sight in that decade, apparently from a bad car crash, and possibly a desire to disentangle himself from the Amazing Randi’s condemnation of psychic research, in which he was involved. I’ve got copies of all of the Adventurer Magazines, but would love to find other things he did.
